  1. "This is the utmost capability of the truthful ones. For the people of struggle, there is guidance and unveiling not available to those who strive. This is why الإِمَام الأَوْزَاعِيّ and اِبْن المُبَارَك said: If people differ on something, look at what the people of the frontier are upon, meaning the people of jihad, for اللّٰه says in سُورَة العَنْكَبُوت: "And those who strive for Us - We will surely guide them to Our ways."

"It informs him of the obstacles and pitfalls of the path, acquaints him with the self and its attributes, the corruptors and correctors of deeds, and shows him the path of the people of paradise and the people of hell, their deeds, conditions, and signs, the ranks of the people of happiness and the people of misery, and the divisions of creation, their agreements, and disagreements."

  3. ""Common people" in this context refers to those outside the realm of unity and annihilation, even if they are people of spiritual journey, will, and knowledge. This is what they mean by the common people, and they call them "people of distinction," while their extremists call them "the veiled ones.""
