What is Book 1 of the Iḥyāʾ?
The Book of Knowledge opens the Iḥyāʾ and answers a practical question: which knowledge is worth seeking, and which is not? Al-Ghazālī separates beneficial knowledge from harmful knowledge, clears misconceptions about religious learning, and sets the etiquette of the student and the teacher.
The audiobook runs about six hours: virtue of knowledge, types of knowledge, the manners of learning and teaching, the flaws of knowledge, and the intellect. It is meant to be heard and acted on, not collected as status.
