Arabic

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلاً مُتَقَبَّلاً

Transliteration

Allāhumma innī asʾaluka ʿilman nāfiʿā, wa rizqan ṭayyibā, wa ʿamalan mutaqabbalā.

English

"O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, wholesome provision, and deeds that are accepted."

I stayed at the madrasah of Taqi al-Din ibn al-Sarraj, where I saw people reciting a section of the Quran daily after Fajr prayer, then chanting the litanies of Sheikh Abu al-Hassan al-Shadhili, including the Litany of the Sea. In this city resided the esteemed and righteous Abu Muhammad Abdullah al-Hassani."
